The Incizor has always been a superbly versatile pattern that can be used in conjunction with almost any hooklink material. The straight eye means that you can use them with stiff ‘Trip Wire’ style hooklink materials on Chod rigs and Hinged Stiff rigs. Now that it has been upgraded as part of the introduction of the Covert Dark range, it has a longer, tapered even sharper point.
This latest Covert Dark version of this pattern features the new stripped down Covert Dark plating still offers excellent camouflage, thanks to the dark matt finish, but also ensures that we keep the hook points absolutely pristine and razor sharp. Covert Dark is a single electroplated layer; so the reduction in handling during the finishing process ensures that the points remain as sharp as the moment they were made.
A second major specification change is that we have changed the shape and length of the Incizor’s point so it is now longer, slimmer and even sharper than before. The new long tapered points are a major improvement that ensures the hook pricks even quicker and penetrates easier.
Gardner has also upgraded to a micro barb on all of the new Covert Dark Hooks. This offers two major benefits. Firstly, many commercial fisheries require anglers to use patterns with small barbs as it is kinder to the fish’s mouth, and secondly micro barbed hooks are stronger as less wire is cut out to form the barb.
The Incizor has always offered exceptional hook holds as the combination of the medium length shank and in-turned straight point means that the angle of penetration is simply ‘as good as it gets’ for this style of hook; and the improved point and micro barb only enhances this performance.
Having a straight eye also means that Incizor is the perfect pattern to use with Fluorocarbon hooklinks as acutely in-turned eyes can cause a weak spot with some fluorocarbon materials. Incizors are a STRONG hook. They are manufactured from extra strong wire gauge and can be used with utmost confidence in almost any carp fishing situation. During development and testing of the Covert Dark range we adjusted the wire specified in the manufacture of the size 8 Incizor hook, ensuring that this size now offers equivalent strength to all the other sizes in this pattern.

If you order an item and it isn’t what you expected then we’ll happily take most products back (within 14 days from date of receipt) as long as it is in unused, as new condition and in its original packaging. Non faulty goods returned may be subject to a 20% handling charge of the cost of goods purchased.
Any non-faulty items which are returned outside of 14 days from the date of receipt may be subject to a 25% restocking charge which will be deducted from the final refund.
Please note that ALL non-faulty items must be returned in saleable condition and in all original packaging otherwise a larger restocking figure may be applied as we will be unable to resell the item as new or at anything near its true value.
For some items, such as made-to-order, special ordered items or personal use or hygiene products unfortunately we are unable to take the products back. Additionally, cancellations of special order / made to order items may incur a restocking fee. If you have any queries, then please call us to ask for further details.
The Customer shall comply with the Anglia Tackle and Gun returns procedure as defined below. Anglia Tackle and Gun will not accept any returned goods should the returns procedure not be followed.
The Customer must contact Anglia Tackle and Gun by either telephone or by e-mail to obtain a returns authorisation. A returns code will be issued and must be referred to in all correspondence. This number must also be clearly marked on any returned packages. The customer is responsible for returning the goods with 14 days of receiving the item.
In cases where the faulty or damaged goods are rejected within 14 days, the Customer is entitled to a replacement, alternative goods or a refund. The faulty or damaged product must be returned to the location specified by Anglia Tackle and gun before the refund or replacement can be issued.
All refunds will be issued within 14 working days of an order being cancelled or items returned.
Anglia Tackle and Gun accepts no responsibility over returns shipping costs for rejected items unless they are faulty in which case Anglia Tackle and Gun will cover the normal cost of returning the goods via tracked post or courier but will not cover the cost of express, next day, Saturday, am, special or any other form of expedited delivery.
