Carbon fiber is well-suited to the tough tasks assigned to cleaning rods. It combines the best features of stainless steel and coated cleaning rods, then adds valuable properties of its own. Stainless steel rods can scratch or wear barrels if they’re used carelessly – though they won’t pick up potentially damaging small abrasive particles. “Coated” rods get part of the job done – they keep the stainless steel shaft from damaging your barrel’s rifling, but the coating will pick up small abrasive particles, which means you’re effectively running fine grit sandpaper through your bore. Carbon fiber rods are the best of both: the carbon fiber can’t scratch your bore like stainless steel, and they won’t embed like coated rods. Plus, Carbon Fiber rods can be bent to an extreme degree and return to their original straightness. During Operation Iraqi Freedom, US military armorers called on Tipton to provide cleaning rods that would clean service rifles in demanding conditions. It made sense to us: Carbon fiber is an ideal material for cleaning rods. We call these cleaning rods “deluxe” because they feature an ergonomically designed handle that spins on two sets of ball bearings – the result is a cleaning rod that smoothly follows the rifling both pushing and pulling, even while under pressure. The “shank-through” construction also allows the user to apply “reasonable” hammer blows to the end of the cleaning rod to get a tight patch through a bore. Available in four diameters and six lengths to fit most rifles, pistols, and shotguns. Rifle and handgun rods are threaded for 8-32 accessories, except 17 caliber and 20 caliber rods which are threaded 5-40. Shotgun rods are threaded 5/16″-27.

If you order an item and it isn’t what you expected then we’ll happily take most products back (within 14 days from date of receipt) as long as it is in unused, as new condition and in its original packaging. Non faulty goods returned may be subject to a 20% handling charge of the cost of goods purchased.

Any non-faulty items which are returned outside of 14 days from the date of receipt may be subject to a 25% restocking charge which will be deducted from the final refund.

Please note that ALL non-faulty items must be returned in saleable condition and in all original packaging otherwise a larger restocking figure may be applied as we will be unable to resell the item as new or at anything near its true value.

For some items, such as made-to-order, special ordered items or personal use or hygiene products unfortunately we are unable to take the products back. The Customer shall comply with the Anglia Tackle and Gun returns procedure as defined below. Anglia Tackle and Gun will not accept any returned goods should the returns procedure not be followed.

The Customer must contact Anglia Tackle and Gun by either telephone or by e-mail to obtain a returns authorisation. A returns code will be issued and must be referred to in all correspondence. This number must also be clearly marked on any returned packages. The customer is responsible for returning the goods with 14 days of receiving the item.

In cases where the faulty or damaged goods are rejected within 14 days, the Customer is entitled to a replacement, alternative goods or a refund. The faulty or damaged product must be returned to the location specified by Anglia Tackle and gun before the refund or replacement can be issued.

All refunds will be issued within 14 working days of an order being cancelled or items returned.

Anglia Tackle and Gun accepts no responsibility over returns shipping costs for rejected items unless they are faulty in which case Anglia Tackle and Gun will cover the normal cost of returning the goods via tracked post or courier but will not cover the cost of express, next day, Saturday, am, special or any other form of expedited delivery.
